Greg Kelly, an anchor with the far-right media outlet Newsmax, is being roasted on Twitter for wearing an extravagant pair of paints.
The fiasco began on Thursday after Kelly shared a photo of himself alongside former President Donald Trump.
"Chillin' with 45! (And yes. Those are BUGLE BOY jeans I'm wearing)," he tweeted.
The pants, which includes numerous nonsensical zippers and cargo pockets, were immediately ridiculed across social media.
"How can you be standing next to Donald Trump and have the worst fitting pants in the picture?" @eddie_p_412 asked.
But the situation only got worse after Kelly followed up by claiming that he had actually lied. The pants weren't from Bugle Boy, he said, but instead were made by the French designer Balmain.
"Everyone busting my CRACKERS over the 'pants'—(partially my fault because I called attention to them with the Bugle Boy comment)," Kelly tweeted. "The truth is, they’re BALMAIN (the most prestigious brand in PANTS)—my shoes are by Ferragamo. Basically, I’m a Sharp Dressed Man. Thank you!"
While many accused Kelly of wearing knockoffs, others claimed that his pants were in fact from Balmain. Not only that, the pants appear to be significantly overpriced in addition to being atrocious. Estimates range from $1,200-1,500 for the pair.
"I always wondered what kind of dude pays $1200 for cargo PANTS," @Rschooley wrote.
Multiple terms related to Kelly's tweet, including "Balmain" and "CRACKERS," became top trends across the platform on Friday.
Despite the ridicule, Kelly seems convinced that his attire represents the pinnacle in male fashion. He even joked that he'd been hired by Vogue.
